The Drum collection in collaboration with Christopher Merchant was inspired by images captured by Bernard and Hilla Becher of revolutionary technology, as well as highly ordered natural formations – mushroom gills, flower petals, and refracted light. Christopher Merchant sought to combine these inspirations in a classic lamp profile while expressing the unique character and capabilities of 3D printing, a technological revolution in itself.
